Lot's of things been going on.  I had to cancel my NYE gig due to health reasons (which was disappointing), but kicking off 2024 with lots of gigs lined up.  Plus, comming soon!, new gear to add to my page, so watch this space.

!!!!We made it in Las Vegas!!!!
Wow!  Yes!  You heard it right!
My best friend for over 30 years, and former fellow Double Dee musician, Brad, teamed up with another good friend of ours, Rob, from the Orange Rhino days (I joined this band in its latter years), and performed at Brad and Anna's wedding at Chinitas Tapas and Sushi in Henderson, Las Vegas on 2 Sep 23.
A few months ago Brad had this idea of forming a trio, with Rob on bass guitar, and performing at his wedding reception.  This very quickly transposed into reality, with a lot of preparation and practicing as a result.
The venue manager agreed to this venture, but was not prepared for what he was about to receive.  A few minutes into our opening number (The Boys Are Back In Town) and he was gob-smacked.  The audience were amazed, on the dance floor and singing along for the whole 40 minutes that we performed.  We 'rocked to joint'.  The poor young DJ admitted it was a tough act to follow!
The following day Brad said that the venue manager was so impressed he wanted us to perform every week at his venue, almost like a residency.  So as far as I'm concerned, we made it in Vegas baby.

We've been in our new home for two years now, with the studio all set-up.
 
I've been using my new mic (Shure Super 55), which not only looks and sounds great, it works perfectly with my PA rejecting side over-spill sounds and reducing feedback.

On the subject of gear, my two EV Evolve 50 PA systems, together with my RCF M18 digital mixer, are sounding amazing.  This saves about half of my boot space in the car (and my back), but with superb sound, power and flexibility.  Also, I'm the proud owner of a VOX AC30 (single speaker version).  Wow!, what a sound!  I've now got a Boss GX-100 effects processor, which I have programmed with duplicate representations from my 'Echoes From The Past' programmed Alesis Quadraverb, for those authentic Shadows echo sounds.  I've had many a good comment from recent gigs on my sound too.
